
Kristin Anderson
Kristin Anderson is a book editor, English teacher, and novelist who works under her small business Kristin in Holland. Originally from California, she has lived in the Netherlands since 2011 with her husband and son.
EDITING: Kristin specializes in line editing, copyediting, and proofreading commercial nonfiction, such as self-development books and memoirs, copyediting and proofreading academic writing, including thesis projects and articles, and she enjoys all levels of editing when it comes to contemporary fiction. She holds a professional sequence in editing from UC Berkeley.
WRITING: Kristin is the author of two novels: Green (2013) and The Things We Said in Venice (2017). And, like many of you out there, she is a blogger. In 2021, Kristin completed the Jericho Writers Ultimate Novel Writing Course. As a freelance writer, Kristin has written for trade magazines and newspapers in the U.S. and the Netherlands. In California, she worked for close to a decade at an architectural firm, first as an editor, then as a writer and marketing assistant, and eventually as marketing director.
TEACHING: After completing a Teaching English as a Foreign Language course (TEFL Academy), she began teaching English online, as well as providing English tutoring to Dutch students. She has taught English for Air Traffic Control, Cambridge C1 English prep, and conversational English. In summer of 2025, she is launching one-on-one conversational English lessons in a walk and talk format.
PERSONAL: Kristin is passionate about reading, spirituality, nature, environmental issues, her family, and her beagle.
